Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: February 2026

1. Our Commitment

RepoDeck is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards across our entire platform, so that every home inspector and their clients can use our reporting tools effectively, regardless of ability.

Accessibility is not a one-time effort—it is an ongoing commitment woven into our design, development, and testing processes.

2. Conformance Status

RepoDeck is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to identify and resolve any remaining accessibility gaps throughout our web and mobile applications.

"Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We track accessibility issues alongside other product work and prioritize fixes in every sprint cycle.

3. Accessibility Features

RepoDeck includes the following accessibility features throughout the application:

Navigation & Interaction

  • Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone, including modals, menus, and form controls
  • Focus indicators — Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements to help keyboard users track their position on the page
  • Responsive design — Content reflows at all viewport sizes and supports zoom up to 200% without loss of information or functionality

Visual Design

  • Color contrast — Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Dark mode — A full dark theme reduces eye strain and supports users who prefer or require reduced brightness

Assistive Technology Support

  • Screen reader support — Semantic HTML and descriptive labels ensure screen readers can convey page structure and interactive elements accurately
  • Semantic HTML — Proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels to provide meaningful document structure
  • ARIA attributes — Custom components use appropriate ARIA roles, states, and properties (e.g., role="dialog", aria-modal, aria-labelledby) to communicate behavior to assistive technologies

4. Testing Methods

We use a combination of automated and manual testing to evaluate and maintain accessibility:

Automated Testing

  • axe-core integration covering 18+ pages and components, run as part of our continuous integration pipeline
  • Automated checks for color contrast, missing alt text, form label associations, and ARIA attribute validity

Manual Testing

  • Keyboard testing — All workflows are tested for full keyboard operability, including tab order, focus management, and escape-key dismissal of modals
  • Screen reader testing — Tested with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and NVDA (Windows) to verify that content, navigation, and interactive elements are announced correctly

5. Known Limitations

While we work toward full conformance, the following areas have known accessibility limitations:

  • Photo annotation tool — The canvas-based annotation tool used to mark up inspection photos has limited screen reader support. We provide text-based alternatives for adding observation notes to photos
  • Chart visualizations — Some dashboard charts and data visualizations may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We provide underlying data in table format where possible

We are actively investigating solutions for these limitations and welcome feedback on any additional barriers you encounter.

6. Feedback & Contact
